Recognizing outstanding service to the children and youth
of Cunningham Children's Home

Last year, more than 244 UMW Units were honored as Spirited Servants for their service to Cunningham Children's Home.

To be recognized as a Spirited Servant, Units must nominate themselves, documenting at least one activity in each of the following four areas:

Area 1: Lifelong Ministry (complete at least one of these)

Area 2: Helping Hands (complete at least one of these)

  • Make a quilt (66” x 96”) for a Cunningham youth
  • Nominate a member of your local unit to serve on the Cunningham Board or its committees
  • Participate in the Festival of Quilts (donate a quilt or craft, volunteer, buy a ticket)
  • Save Campbell’s soup UPC’s for the Labels for Education program, and General Mills Box Tops to support Cunningham’s two schools.

Area 3: Loving Hearts (complete at least one of these)

  • Donate Needed Items for Cunningham youth including:
    • Items for the “Kids’ Needs First” boxes to one or both district meetings
    • Providing a Newcomer Basket for a Cunningham youth
    • Providing Christmas gifts for Cunningham youth
    • Providing a Birthday box for a Cunningham youth

Area 4: Shared Mission (complete at least one of these)

Spirited Servants are recognized at their spring district meeting and will receive a certificate to display in their church or meeting area.
