Young people learn from each interaction. Use your mentoring skills, personal strength, and teamwork to provide for the care, welfare, safety, and security of children and youth with emotional or behavioral disorders.

We're seeking qualified applicants for the following positions. Please note that general requirements of employment can be found at the bottom of this page.

  • Kitchen Assistant/Cook: provide quality food service to children and staff; to include preparation of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Requirements: Minimal computer skills; Knowledge of Public Health regulations; basic food preparation knowledge (cooking main entrees, preparing food, baking desserts).Operation of kitchen equipment; Basic understanding of computer operation. Work under time restraints with deadlines; Show positive attitude with co-workers, customers, and staff.  Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision.Food Service Sanitation Certificate required.  Hours are 9am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday or 8am-4pm Tuesday-Thursday and 9am-5pm Sunday and Monday.

  • Human Resource Assistant: Provide clerical, organizational and administrative support to the HR Department with special emphasis given to the area of training. Three years office experience with history of progressive responsibility, ability to manage details, knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to assist with transport and set-up of AV, training equipment, tables, etc. required. Prior experience in HR and knowledge of ABRA preferred. Please direct your resume/application to Attn: HRD/HRA.

  • Part-Time Client Records Assistant: Ideal candidate pays great attention to detail, works independently, and understands the special challenges with handling highly confidential material. Responsibilities include filing, typing, and maintenance of office equipment and supplies. Some lifting and carrying is required.   • School Social Worker, CIRCLE Academy: Serve as the link between the agency, the child, the courts, referring agencies, the family, and any other interested stakeholders in the child’s welfare. This position is responsible for extensive documentation and paperwork. This individual would also facilitate and provide leadership to regularly scheduled team meetings and special staffings on assigned youth and also participate in weekly individual/family counseling sessions. Requirements: Masters in Social Work and Type 73 certificate required. Direct clinical experience with children/youth, groups and families is a must. Case management skills and knowledge working with/in a public school setting is also required. Additional experience in a human service setting is preferred.
  • Special Therapies Specialist: Provide therapeutic recreation and art therapy to children and youth ages 9-18 with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities. Our five-person department works as a team to develop, implement, and evaluate goal-oriented treatment and recreation programs. Requirements: Group and individual therapy skills, understanding of child/adolescent development, knowledge of art and recreation therapy techniques. CRTS preferred, Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred successful internship in related field such as mental health or recreation, art, meet Medicaid requirement of a Mental Health Professional.
  • Special Education Teacher at CIRCLE Academy, a non-public BD/SED Special Education School serving K-12: Work with small class sizes in a supportive and positive work environment. Will closely follow Urbana school calendar and salary schedule. Teacher Assistants provided and excellent benefit package offered. Requirements: State of Illinois LBS1 certificate.   • Teacher's Assistant: Responsibilities include working directly with certified teachers to provide services in a school setting to S/ED, BD, LD youth. Thirty hours of college credit and previous experience in a school setting is preferred.  Applicant must be dependable and a team player with a strong work ethic.  Usual schedule is 6.5 to 7.0 hours per day Mon-Fri when school is in session.   • Night Cottage Counselor: Contribute to the residential treatment team by providing overnight support and supervision to up to ten youth ages 9-16 in a home-like therapeutic milieu within our Residential Treatment Program. This position requires staying awake and alert throughout a 10 or 12 hour overnight shift with 4 nights on, 4 nights off. High School diploma or GED required. This position requires the physical and emotional strength to effectively and safely manage youth during aggressive or self-harming episodes, and applicants must be able to successfully complete training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.   • Substitute Childcare Worker: Perfect for students and others looking for a flexible schedule. Contribute to the residential treatment team by supporting and supervising up to ten youth ages 9-16 in a home-like therapeutic milieu within our Residential Treatment Program on a substitute basis. Available shifts include weeknights, weekend evenings, and overnight shifts. This position requires the physical and emotional strength to effectively and safely manage youth during aggressive or self-harming episodes, and applicants must be able to successfully complete training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.   • Day Cottage Counselor: Contribute to the residential treatment team by supporting and supervising up to ten youth ages 9-16 in a home-like therapeutic milieu within our Residential Treatment Program. BA or BS required; Mental Health Professional (MHP) – BA/BS in Human Services (social work, psychology) preferred; or 5 years experience in the Human Services Field. Required of All Employees:

All prospective employees must be 21 years old, possess a valid Illinois driver's license and proof of auto insurance, and be able to handle confidential information. All prospective employees are required to submit to a pre-employment physical, TB test, drug screen and comprehensive background check.
